Care of the Course

Dear Members,

Portarlington Golf Club Council, Course Manager and Ground Staff would like to remind and ask all members to ensure to replace all divots or displaced turf while on the course, to repair all ball pitch-marks on greens and avoid any damage to cups when re-inserting the flags and removing golf balls from holes.

Please also ensure to kindly remind your playing partners or guests of same while on the course.

Notwithstanding the recent weather, every golfer has their part to play in keeping the course in as best condition as possible for everyone to enjoy.

Club Mixed, Vice Captain’s and Club Fourball Matchplay

Dear Members,

There will be an open draw for pairings in the 2018 Club Mixed Matchplay Competition. Those interested are asked to place their names on the respective sheets in the Locker Rooms.

Also please note that the first round of the Vice Captain’s and Club Fourball matches must be completed by May 1st with no extensions permitted – names shall be removed from the competition sheets if fixtures are not fulfilled on time.

For any members interested in being considered to represent Portarlington Golf Club for upcoming 2018 Inter-Club Competitions, (subject to team/competition eligibility – age, handicap range etc.) the respective Team Managers will post a Competition notice sheet in the locker rooms. Those members wishing to express an interest, please enter your name, GUI number and contact telephone details.
